What the service is
Scienda is a literature alerting service. It queries PubMed daily and emails subscribers a selection of references to recent articles in the specialty and on the topics they have chosen.
Scienda flags publications; it draws no conclusions from them. It makes no recommendation, no suggestion and no medical advice, and substitutes for neither primary sources nor the practitioner's judgement. Scienda is not a medical device within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2017/745 and bears no CE marking on that basis.
The service selects and routes — it does not host papers. Every reference links to the corresponding PubMed record.
Intellectual property
The Scienda name, the domain scienda.io, the visual identity, the site's texts and structure,
and the classification models built for the service belong to the publisher.
Bibliographic references come from public sources; their terms are set out in Section 14 of the Terms of Service and under Sources and notices below.
Consumer mediation
Under Articles L612-1 and R616-1 of the French Consumer Code, the publisher has appointed the following consumer mediator:
| Mediator | Médiation de la Consommation & Patrimoine (MCP) |
| Address | 12 square Desnouettes, 75015 Paris |
| Website | https://www.mcpmediation.org |
Mediation is free of charge and optional for the consumer. It requires that a written complaint has first been sent to the publisher without being resolved within two months. The mediator must be contacted within a maximum of one year from that initial written complaint (Art. R612-2 of the French Consumer Code). MCP can be contacted directly online on its website, or by post at the address above.
For cross-border disputes within the European Union, the European Consumer Centre France may also be contacted.
Sources and notices
Scienda uses public data. The notices below are imposed by the data providers and must not be reworded.
Scienda is an independent service, not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by NLM, NIH, HHS, or any publisher or journal referenced.
This product uses publicly available data from the National Library of Medicine (NLM), National Institutes of Health, Department of Health and Human Services; NLM is not responsible for the product and does not endorse or recommend this or any other product.

| Source | Terms | Use in the service |
|---|---|---|
| PubMed / E-utilities (NLM, NIH, HHS) | US federal government work — public domain | bibliographic references, records, abstracts used to feed the models |
| NLM Catalog | public domain | journal lineage and specialty scopes |
| OpenAlex | CC0 — commercial use permitted, no attribution required | journal quality indicator |
The quality indicator shown beside each reference is an indicator derived from OpenAlex (CC0) citation data, computed by the publisher, expressed as a rank within the journal's disciplinary category. It reflects the standing of the journal in its category and nothing else. It is in no way an assessment of an individual article's clinical value.
