For librarians
Scienda sends clinicians a daily email of new PubMed articles in their specialty, sorted by clinical topic, with each article labelled by the rank of its journal within its own field — so a reader can choose to see only, say, the top 10%. This page is for you if you are deciding whether any of it belongs in a guide for your users.
What you can list for free
None of these needs an account, an email address or a cookie.
- Journal rankings by specialty — leading journals ranked by percentile within their NLM discipline, from open data. A free, openly sourced complement to subscription metrics in a “top journals” or “where to publish” guide.
- Journal club shortlists — for each specialty, the clinical trials, guidelines and reviews of the past 7 days in journals ranked in the top 10% of their field. Updated every morning.
- Live preview — what reached PubMed in the last 36 hours for a specialty, filtered by topic, article type and journal rank. A natural fit for a “keeping current” guide.
- Our method — sources, principles, date of the last computation, and what the ranking does not claim.

The data, and its limits
- The citation signal comes from OpenAlex (CC0); each journal's discipline from the NLM Catalog. No proprietary index sits between your users and the ranking.
- The ranking is about journals, never individual articles. It is used to triage what to read, not to assess a paper or its authors.
- The exact formula and thresholds are not published, so that the ranking cannot be gamed; the sources, principles and computation date are. See our method.
Spotted an error?
If a journal looks misclassified — the wrong discipline, a missing title, a band that seems off — please tell us at [email protected]. Every report gets an answer, and a confirmed error is corrected at the latest when the ranking is next recomputed.
What happens to your readers' data
- On the site: no third-party script, no advertising or tracking cookie. Visits are counted on our own servers as daily aggregated totals, in a way that cannot link one day's visit to another's.
- For subscribers: an email address and reading settings, used to send the digest and manage the subscription. No resale, no advertising, no profiling.
The full terms are in the privacy policy.
What is paid, plainly
The daily email digest is an individual subscription: €4.50 / month, or €45 / year — 2 months free. It can be tried for 14 days without a card, or 30 days with one, and cancelled at any time. There is no institutional licence at this stage. Details on the pricing page.
Evaluating it
If you would like to see the full digest before deciding anything, write to [email protected] and we will open a free account for you. Who publishes Scienda is set out in the legal notice.
